I just wanted to put up an update that was a bit more detailed and alittle more personal from the small details that we’ve been doing. Eight of the team members left on Tuesday June 23. Jonathan, Jim, Debi, & Sheri were bumped up to first class on the way to Germany. (Lucky them!!!), while Ariel remained in Ecomony. Paul & Challie took two different planes and they all met in Tel Aviv, on Wednesday Afternoon. Meanwhile, Wednesday morning Mandie and myself (Whitney) left Wednesday morning for DC, to London, and off to Israel. We hit lots and lots of resistance, but that Lord showed His faithfulness as He always does. In DC, Mandi and I arrived to finding out that the airport had over sold 40 seats on the plane. For some reason 40 of the seats had not been confirmed, and mine was one of them. So it was hours, before I knew whether or not i’d even go to Israel. We found out I had a seat after the plane for the most part had been boarded. When I got on the plane, everyone on the plane clapped, (as many people in the waiting area were praying for Favor). When we got to London, There were some problems with the plane engine and right wing, so our whole flight was put in this room of high security while we were waiting, and were delayed 2 hours. We made it safe and sound to Jaffa (where we were staying) at 10pm.
While we were on our amazing Journey, the group was exploring Jaffa, did lots of walking and hiking, and went to the beach.
Early in the morning we woke up and went on a walk through an arab community in Jaffa, then had a delightful breakfast in the Gardens, and spent time worshiping together. We left around 9:30 that morning and drove to Ceasera. We spent most of the afternoon here. We watched 2 flims, saw the ruins, played in the Mediterrian Sea, and saw a Messianic Jewish Wedding. (We would love to put up pictures but we cant figure it out, once we do, we will add them to the update.)
We then drove past Mt. Carmel, and saw the land driving up the North to Haifa. Once at our hotel we relaxed, ate dinner, laughed a whole lot, then went down to the ports and interceded a bit. Later the night (way past midnight, a few members of the group were hanging with the locals on the roof, and were able to minster Jesus to them, and pray with them.)
The next morning, we went to Tents of Mercy, a Messianic Congregation, and worshipped with them, listened to their pastor, and met with them, building relationships. These people are so beloved.
Then we went to Meggido & Jezreel Valley. We had a great time praying for the Spirit of the Lord to come upon Israel, and her people. Then we went to Tiberias, by the Sea of Galilie. The next morning we went to Capernum, Mount of Beatitudes, and went on a boat ride of the Sea of Galilie.
Today, we visited the Jordan River, went back to the Sea of Galilie and were baptized, and played in the water. Now we are off to Golan Heights, to visit the IDF soldiers, to give them care packages, pray over them, and see the boarders surrounding Golan Heights.
We are off again… more updates soon enough… and hopefully pictures.
Please pray as the Spirit of the Lord leads you. We love and Thank you for supporting us, and praying for us.
